Union women’s soccer signs Greenbrier’s Presley

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/6/2011 - The Union (Tenn.) University women’s soccer team has signed Brittney Presley of Greenbrier, Tenn. Presley will enter Union this fall as a freshman and will major in elementary education as she works toward becoming a teacher and missionary.

Union head coach Brandon Boylan says, “Brittany is a tough and physical defender that is hard to beat. She will add depth to our back line and we are excited about her development over the next four years. She comes from a great family and will be a tremendous fit for our university and soccer program.“

Presley, at 5-foot-7, prepped at Greenbrier (Tenn.) High School where she played defender and midfielder for the soccer team. She was named all-county and all-district as a junior. She was named all-district again as a senior, scoring three goals from the defense position. Presley earned the Hustle Award as a sophomore.

Off the field, Presley was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and Mu Alpha Theta.

Presley is the daughter of Jack and Nicole Presley and is a member of the Long Hollow Baptist Church.
