  • Event Series Allows Attendees to Interact with Google Glass

    Rosebrough Center Event Series about Google GlassApril 17, 2014 - Dr. Kevin Trowbridge, a Google Glass Explorer and Assistant Professor of Public Relations at Belmont University, shared relevant insights about Google Glass and its potential impact on Education last Thursday night as a part of the Rosebrough Center's Event Series. Trowbridge's presentation, Learning #Through Glass: An Exploration of Google Glass for Education, was well received by scores of attendees.  The session was held on Union University's main campus in Jackson, TN.

    Feb. 28, 2014 - The Rosebrough Center for Educational Practice is pleased to announce the creation of a new avenue for engagement and discussion on relevant educational topics.  The Rosebrough Center Event Series has been established to bring educators and the general public together to learn about, discuss, and analyze current and meaningful educational subjects.

    February 20, 2014 - The Rosebrough Center for Educational Practice is pleased to announce the launch of its newly designed website.  The site has been restructured to more easily direct visitors to related content, while also bringing more attention to some new features of the Center.

  • Union Hosts Memphis Area School Leaders for Common Core Training

    Common Core TrainingFebruary 11, 2014 - Educational leaders from Shelby, Tipton, and Fayette County Schools are meeting on Union University’s Germantown, Tennessee campus as a part of a three-day Common Core training session. Each leader will participate once in February, once in March, and again in April. The facilitators for the sessions have been prepared by the Tennessee Department of Education to train local school leaders on the new changes that will occur as a result of Tennessee’s adoption of Common Core State Standards. Union University professors were invited to participate in the sessions, while School of Education leadership shared degree program information with those in attendance. The collegial information sharing demonstrated the positive relationship that exists between Union and local school leaders.
