Union University offers adults in the Nashville area the opportunity to pursue graduate degrees, undergraduate degrees and professional development from a University that is nationally recognized for integrating top-tier academics and Christian faith.

Union University Hendersonville offers graduate degrees in Education, Nursing and Christian Studies. Adults wanting to complete an undergraduate degree have several options, whether they have earned college credit previously or not.

Information Sessions

The first Tuesday of each month, 5:30-7 p.m., Union University Hendersonville hosts an Open House. Faculty and staff are available to answer questions about degree and career options. Application fee is waived for Information Session participants.

The mission of the School of Education is to prepare educators of character and competence who reflect Christ as they serve and lead in their schools and communities.

First Step

Get started toward earning your college degree, even if you have never attended college before. Union University is ready to partner with you in your education, from application to graduation.


Union's nursing graduates gain significant mentoring from the faculty in the classroom, clinical settings, on the mission field and a state-of-the art simulation environment.

Organizational Leadership

Adults with at least two years of college credit can complete their bachelor's degree in as little as 18 months with this specially designed degree program. Classes meet one night a week.

Theology and Missions

Rigorous academics, skill in teaching and attention to students as individuals are integrated with deep devotion to Christ and His Church and a commitment to reaching the nations with the Gospel.

Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy at Union University Hendersonville is an ongoing program designed for teachers and administrators in Sumner County schools. All participants receive professional in-service credit and may apply for three hours of graduate-level credit from Union for completing the program. READ MORE

The event featured Emily Barton, assistant commissioner for curriculum and instruction at the Tennessee Department of Education, Del Phillips, director of schools for Sumner County, and Ted Wise, chairman of the Sumner County School Board.
