DiSimone to present guest recital Feb. 19

JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 13, 2007 – Lorraine DiSimone will present a guest recital at Union University Feb. 19.

DiSimone has performed extensively in concert as well as on the opera stage. She has sung with the Pittsburgh Symphony and with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, as well as at Carnegie Hall.

DiSimone is assistant professor of voice at the University of Tennessee and has previously served on the faculties of Clark University, Wake Forest University and the Berkshire Choral Festival.

The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Union’s Hartley Recital Hall, located in Jennings Hall on the west end of Union’s campus. The program is free and open to the public.

Union University Announcement for March 6

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.

The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.

Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.

Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
