Etiquette luncheon set for May 3

JACKSON, Tenn.May 1, 2007 – Union University’s First Lady Lanese Dockery will host an etiquette luncheon for a group of Union students May 3 in the President’s Dining Room.

The luncheon’s goal is to provide students with a non-threatening but formal format for learning the essentials of etiquette. Union’s career services office is sponsoring the event.

“Employers are frequently inviting students to interview over a meal,” said Ashley Guinn, Union’s assistant director of career planning and development. “This interactive learning experience is designed to give students the poise, confidence and professionalism they need to successfully navigate interviewing over lunch or dinner.”

Sherry Tignor, director of Union’s office of academic support, will co-host the luncheon with Dockery.

The luncheon will begin at 11:00 a.m. For more information, call Guinn at (731) 661-5302.
