Etiquette luncheon set for May 1

JACKSON, Tenn.April 28, 2008 – Union University’s First Lady Lanese Dockery will host the annual etiquette luncheon for a group of Union students May 1 in the President’s Dining Room.

The luncheon’s goal is to provide students with a non-threatening but formal format for learning the essentials of etiquette. Union’s career services office is sponsoring the event.

“Many employers are moving to interviews over a lunch or dinner,” said Andrew Post Union’s assistant director of career planning and development. “The etiquette luncheon gives our students the resources needed to excel in this social interview setting.”

Sherry Tignor, director of Union’s office of academic support, will co-host the luncheon with Dockery.

The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. For more information, contact Post at (731) 661-5302 or apost@uu.edu. -30-
