Union University offers after-school children’s art program

JACKSON, Tenn.Sept. 14, 2001 – The Union University Department of Art is offering an ongoing, afterschool art program for children and teens beginning on Oct. 1 – Nov. 22.

Painting classes will be age-sensitive and geared toward grades 1-4, 5-8, and 9-12. Drawing courses will be offered as well to grades 1-4 and ages 10-15. An early afternoon class for home-schooled students grades K-4 will also be offered.

Tuition will include all materials but will vary according to class type. For enrollment information, contact the Community Art Program at (731) 661-5076.

Union University Announcement for March 5

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Thursday, March 5, with all day classes canceled.

A decision on evening classes at Jackson and Germantown will be made by noon on Thursday. Hendersonville evening classes are canceled.

The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.
