JACKSON, Tenn. – June 21, 2010 – Union University is one of only four Tennessee universities to be included in the 2010 “Colleges of Distinction” guide.
“To once again be included among the distinctive listing of highly acclaimed ‘Colleges of Distinction’ is a wonderful tribute to the quality teaching faculty, the excellent staff and engaged students at Union University,” Union President David S. Dockery said. “We are immensely grateful for the significance of this recognition.”
The “Colleges of Distinction” guide identifies four distinctions of superior colleges and universities: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes.
Other Tennessee institutions included are Belmont University, Rhodes College and University of the South.
Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.
The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.
Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.
Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
