Symphonic Band to hold fall concert Nov. 10

JACKSON, Tenn.Nov. 8, 2011 – Union University’s Symphonic Band will present its fall concert Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel.

Michael Mann, in his first year as the band’s conductor, will lead the ensemble in works by Holst, Whitacre, Hazo and others.

Also featured in the concert will be trumpet soloist Dan Oxley. Oxley plays for the Nashville Praise Symphony and has toured the United States and Japan. He was recently a soloist with the Feast of Tabernacles International Orchestra for the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem.
