Popular Trio Ariana will perform music by American composers

JACKSON, Tenn.Oct. 25, 2001 – Union University’s Lyceum and the Department of Music will present a concert and master class featuring Trio Ariana Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. respectively. Both will be held in the Hartley Recital Hall on the university campus.

Trio ArianaKaren Peeler, soprano, Henrietta Neeley, violist, and Robin Guy, pianist, form this group which was founded in 1998. The group exists to develop an enhanced body of chamber music in the twenty-first century for their unique combination of instruments and to promote the works of women composers and poets.

Since their inception, they have fostered numerous transcriptions, arrangements and original works for Ariana from North American composers.
