JACKSON, Tenn. – May 14, 2002 – Union University’s School of Nursing will hold its annual dedication and recognition service for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Class of 2002, Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m. in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel on the Jackson campus.
Keynote speaker for the evening is Cheryl Stegbauer, professor and associate dean for academic programs in the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. A charter member of the Academy of Distinguished Teaching Professors at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and a recipient of the U.T. National Alumni Association Teaching Award, Stegbauer earned her bachelor’s and Ph.D. degrees from UT’s Health Science Center and her master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University in Houston. Her research has included quality of life in patients with lung cancer.
Nursing students from both the Germantown and Jackson campuses will graduate in commencement exercises Saturday, May 18.

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.
The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.
Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.
Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
