Union University authors will hold book signing

JACKSON, Tenn.Sept. 12, 2002 – More than half of the 18 contributing authors as well as the editors of Union University’s most recent release, Shaping a Christian Worldview, will be present at a book signing that will be held at LifeWay Christian Bookstore on the university campus, Monday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m.

Edited by Union President David S. Dockery and Greg Thornbury, director of Union’s Carl F.H. Center for Christian Leadership, the book address key issues facing the future of Christian higher education, and the idea behind a Christian worldview and is the first of its kind to address questions of mixing faith with vocation by authors all being from one institution.

Contributing writers include George H. Guthrie, Brad Green, Harry L. Poe, David P. Gushee, Jimmy H. Davis, Barbara McMillin, Glenn A. Marsch, Karen L. Mulder, Paul Munson, Antonio A. Chiareli, Kina Mallard, Thomas R. Rosebrough, Susan R. Jacob, Mary Anne Poe, Walton Padelford, Kimberly Thornbury, Todd Brady and Carla Sanderson. All of the writers are Union faculty and administration.

The book, published by Broadman and Holman Publishers, went on sale Sept.1 and can be purchased at any Christian bookstore, including LifeWay Christian, and also on Amazon.com.

Union University Announcement for March 6

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.

The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.

Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.

Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
