JACKSON, Tenn. – Oct. 5, 2002 – Union University’s Art Department is currently displaying a selection of works by artist Chris Anderson in the Union Art Gallery. The show, which consists of a range of works done in oil, acrylic, pastel and raw pigment on paper, is free to the public and through Thursday, Oct. 31.
Anderson has been creating art as well as teaching it at several universities, including the Berlin University of Fine Arts. She has also held positions in the art department at the University of Maryland and Parsons School of Design. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Scripps College and then later her master’s degree in fine arts from the Claremont Graduate University.
Her show is titled “My Home is My Castle: The Schlossgeist Series,” and the reception for her show, open to the public, is Monday, Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. at the art gallery. Gallery hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 p.m. through 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
