Round Mountain School is a small K-12 school (approximately 260 students) located in Round Mountain, Nevada. The area is extremely remote and located about half way between Las Vegas and Reno at an elevation of almost 6,000 feet.

Round Mountain School currently has two openings on the schools staff for a science teacher and a guidance counselor. The school would prefer the positions to be filled by Christian educators.

In addition to these two positions they are a mission field with ministry opportunities throughout the Lahontan Baptist Association. Most of the churches are small and struggling, many without pastors or any other staff.

They are seeking applicants who are both strong educators and individuals with a desire to help strengthen or lead churches on a mission field. The guidance position is for a K-12 counselor assisting students with academic/personal problems, scheduling, testing, etc. The science position is for grades 9-12 and includes such subjects as General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Geology, etc. Starting salary for a beginning teacher with a B.S. degree is about $34,000 with a masters degree it is about $40,000.

If you have any questions please contact the schools principal Jim Fitch.
