Coach’s Comments. Jason will start at second base this season for Union. He is very athletic and provides a range and stability in the middle. Jason runs well and has gap to gap pop. He and Josiah work well together in the middle.
Union Career. 2006...First Bulldog Season.

Before Union: Cooper transferred to Union from Johnson County Community College where he spent two seasons. In 2005 at JCCC, Cooper hit .336 in 109 at bats over 40 games. Prior to JCCC, he spent one season at Central Missouri State where he was a part of the NCAA Div. II National Championship team. Cooper played his high school baseball at Lee's Summit North in Lee's Summit, Missouri. There, he was a starter in the American Legion All-Star Game where he went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Off the field, Cooper was named to the Principal's Honor Roll throughout high school and was also a scholar athlete at JCCC.
