Excellent athlete with the tools to be a superior shortstop…counted on to be the steadying influence in a young infield. Canary is a transfer form Johnson County Community College, where as a sophomore, he hit .303 and led the team with eight sacrifices. Canary prepped at Cookeville High School where he was a two sport star in baseball and football. As a freshman, Canary was named the Freshman of hte Year. He also won two Gold Gloves during his high school days as a middle infielder. His senior year at Cookville, he hit .450 with a team leading 13 stolen bases and 29 runs.
