Union dropped their second straight conference game as Lee University defeated the Bulldogs 77-69. Union falls to 9-7 overall and 0-2 in the conference. Lee improves to 11-3 overall and 1-1 in the TranSouth.
Union boasted four players in double figures but it wasn't enough on this day to get the win. Both teams up the pace and scoring in the second half with Lee scoring 56 points to Union's 40. Lee's Armard Ross and Rocky Lane both tallied double-doubles. Ross led all score with 19 points to go with his 10 boards. Lane scored 14 points and grabbed a game high 11 rebounds. Brandon Fritz and Ander Pinedo added 11 and 10 points respectively. For Union, Derrick Underwood and Matt Trammell scored 13 apiece while Michael Katrosh and Will Harris added 10 points each.
Union travels to Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Monday for a non-conference game. Next Thursday, January 23, the Bulldogs will resume conference play when they host Trevecca at 8:00 p.m.
