For the first half, neither team was able to tally a goal and the game remained 0-0 at halftime. Union's Adrian Yeung scored the Bulldog's only goal off of a Clovis Simas assist midway through the second half. That lead would stand until Harding answered with a goal to even the score with six minutes remaining in the contest. Regulation ended with the scored tied at 1-1 and two 10-minute overtime periods could not decide the outcome.
