Brooks Sets New Bulldog Scoring Record

Jackson, TN—Bethel Springs native, Anthony Brooks set a new record for points in a game as he tallied 49 on 20-26 shooting, including 3 of 4 from three-point range. In tonight’s game against Atlanta Christian, Brooks had 11 rebounds 2 blocks, 2 steals, and 2 assists. The old record, held by James Bass, stood for 16 seasons. Brooks had come close on a couple occasions by scoring 39 against Williams Baptist and 34 against Life University. For this 6-10 senior center, it marks the ninth time in 26 games he has reached the 30 point plateau. Brooks in currently third in the NAIA points per game with 25.1 points per game.
