The Bulldogs defeated Oakland City College (Ind.), 13-1, on Saturday in the championship match. The victory qualified Union for the NCCAA national tournament which begins Friday in Orlando, Fla.

Joe Phiri lead the Bulldogs with four goals, which set a school record for most goals in a single game. Phiri also dished out two assists.

Leandro Carvalho scored three goals, and Kekec Zhivkovic added two goals for the Bulldogs (16-5). David Delaughter, Kolo Goshi, Nic Barjaktarevic and Ryan Smith also scored goals.

Last season, Union finished sixth in the national tournament.
