Union Women's Soccer Moves Winning Streak to Three Matches with 2-0 Win

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/25/2007 - The Union University Lady Bulldog soccer team improved their winning streak to three matches with a 2-0 win at Freed-Hardeman University (Tenn.). In addition to the three straight wins, Union has also managed a three match winning streak in conference play that have all been shutouts (4-0 vs. Trevecca Nazarene, 5-0 versus Lyon, and 2-0 versus Freed-Hardeman).

With the win, Union improves to 6-3 on the season and 3-1 in league play. Freed-Hardeman falls to 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the TranSouth.

Union was led by Caitlin Zimmerman who tallied both of the goals for Union. Zimmerman is Union's leading scorer with 10 goals on the season. Of the 11 goals scores for Union in the past three conference matches, Zimmerman has recorded seven of them.
