Union’s Crozier Named TranSouth Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/8/2007 - The TranSouth Conference has named Union University’s Benny Crozier as the men’s soccer player of the week for the week ending October 7, 2007.

Crozier, a 5-foot-10 senior midfielder from Glasgow, Scotland, helped lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week with a pair of goals in each match this week. His two goals in a 3-1 win over Lambuth University were followed by another two goals in a 4-1 win at Cumberland University. The wins allow Union to maintain a first place tie in conference play. Union is 7-7 overall this season and are tied for first in the TranSouth at 5-1. Bethel College and Mid-Continent University are tied with Union at 5-1, while Lambuth is a half match back at 4-1.

Up next for Union will be a conference match on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 pm at Crichton College (Tenn.).
