Union volleyball tops Lambuth 3-0

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/9/2008 - The Union University volleyball team topped crosstown rival Lambuth (Tenn.) University 3-0 (25-21,25-19, 25-16). Dating back to Union's first season of volleyball in 1998, the Lady Bulldogs lead the overall series with Lambuth 31-0.

Union was led by Amanda Coyle and Anna Sims with eight kills each. Heather Lieberman added seven kills, while Emilie Ogas tallied six kills. Katie Adams tallied 30 assists. CJ Neathamer led Union with 20 digs and Ashley Young paced Union with three blocks.

Union, now 5-2 on the season, will face conference foe Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College at home at Thursday, September 11. The match will begin at 7:00 pm at Fred DeLay Gymnasium.
