JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/13/2008 - The Union University women's soccer team posted their fourth straight win with a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma Baptist University. Union's Caitlin Zimmerman scored both goals for Union, including her first just nine minutes into the game.
Zimmerman added her second goal, assisted by Bridget Roney, at the 20 minute mark in the first half to help Union to a 2-0 halftime lead.
Marinne Burnham of Oklahoma Baptist took just four minutes into the second half to bring the Bison to within one goal.
Oklahoma Baptist outshot Union 15-9 in the match, including 7-4 in the second half. However, Union goalie Laura Pla held strong with seven saves in the contest, including four in the second half to help Union hold on for the win.
Up next for Union will be a match at home on Tuesday, September 16 versus Delta State (Miss.) University at 5:00 pm.
