Union men's soccer ends season with tournament loss

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/8/2008 - The Union University men's soccer team lost 1-0 in the opening round of the TranSouth Conference Tournament to the six seed, Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University. Union had earned the three seed, but couldn't take advantage on a cold night at Union.

Trevecca Nazarene (9-7-2) scored the match's only goal in the 30th minute of play when Sam Madeley hit the back of the net. That goal proved to be enough as the Trojans, led by goalie Hayden Coffman held off 13 Union shots to preserve the win. Trevecca Nazarene managed just six shots in the match. James Landham recorded one save for Union.

Union ends their season a 9-6-2.
