JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/29/2009 - Union scored the games only two runs in the bottom of the third inning. Lindsey Landreneau and Ali Thomas each posted RBI hits in the inning. Carmesha Owens lead Union with a 3-for-3 day. Sydney McMillin earned the win for Union with a complete game shut-out, allowing six hits and striking out four batters.
Union will advance to the second round to play #2 Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. FHU defeated #7 Mid-Continent 1-0 (8).
