Union women’s soccer adds King to 2009 roster

JACKSON, Tenn. - 7/16/2009 - Steffi King of Germantown, Tenn. has signed to play soccer for the Union University Lady Bulldogs. King will enter Union this fall as a freshman and will major in biology.

King, a 5-foot-6 midfielder, prepped at Houston High School where she played soccer and tennis. She helped lead her high school soccer team to the district and sectional titles in 2009, while also leading her tennis team to the 2008 state semifinals. King played club soccer for the 91' Lady Lobos, leading her team to the 2008 state championship game. King earned numerous honors in high school as a senior including varsity MVP, Best of the Preps and all-State.

Off the field, King was a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club. She was the president of FCA and class section editor on the yearbook staff.

King is the daughter of Steve and Pam King and is a member of Germantown Baptist Church.
