Union volleyball participating in Dig Pink Night on Oct. 13

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/8/2009 - The Union University Lady Bulldog volleyball team will participate the nationwide Dig Pink promotion helping to bring awareness and raise funds for cancer. Union will host their Dig Pink night on Tuesday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m.

During the match, Union will be wearing pink uniforms to show their support for breast cancer awareness. Pink t-shirts will be sold that evening with money going to Union’s Relay for Life team and the American Cancer Society. Donations will be accepted.

This marks the second season for Union’s volleyball team to participate in cancer awareness. Other Union sports have also participated in cancer awareness events in recent years and are making plans for their participation this season. Union athletics has also sponsored the pink jersey auction night for the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx in each of the past three seasons.
