LEBANON, Tenn. - 10/17/2009 - The Union University Bulldog soccer team had their two-match winning streak snapped in a 3-0 loss at Cumberland (Tenn.) University. Union dropped to 3-8 on the season and 1-2 in the TranSouth. Cumberland jumped to the top of the standings with a 2-0 league mark and a 4-3-1 overall record.
Cumberland scored on an own goal in the first half to take a 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs of Cumberland added two more goals in the second half for the win.
Up next for Union will be another conference road match when the Bulldogs travel to Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College at Tuesday, Oct. 20.
