Union volleyball adds Tullahoma High School standout

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/15/2010 - The Union (Tenn.) University volleyball program has added another player for the fall of 2010. Jami Humphries of Tullahoma, Tenn. will join the team this fall as a freshman and will major in broadcast journalism.

Humphries, at 5-foot-4, prepped at Tullahoma High School where she played four years of volleyball and also ran track for one season. Humphries was a two-time first team all-district player and was twice named team MVP and team captain. As a senior, she was named district MVP.

Off the court, Humphries was a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and was voted senior class historian.

Humphries is the daughter of John and Vicki Humphries of Tullahoma and is a member of the Tullahoma First Baptist Church.
