Union women’s soccer signs Warren

JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/3/2010 - The Union (Tenn.) University women’s soccer team has signed Emily Warren of Cabot, Ark. to a scholarship. Warren will enter Union this fall as a freshman and will major in graphic design.

Union head coach Brandon Boylan says, “Emily is a talented keeper with a great work ethic. I only expect Emily to improve during her time here at Union. She is a kind-hearted young woman who will fit in at Union and with our soccer team.”

Warren, a 5-foot-8 goal keeper, prepped at Cabot (Ark.) High School where she played two seasons of varsity soccer. Warren played her freshman season at Radford High School. During her career, she was named most outstanding player, team captain and all-state. Warren also played for the Arkansas Soccer Club from 2008-10, where her team won the state championship all three seasons.

Off the field, Warren was a member of the National Honor Society, a yearbook editor, earned Best English Grade Award, and was a member of the Journalism National Honor Society.

Warren is the daughter of Donnie and Becki Warren of Cabot, Ark. and is a member of the First Baptist Church in Cabot.
