Coach Brian Dunn Reaches 500 Win at Union

Jackson, Tenn. - 3/17/2003 - Union University softball and volleyball head coach Brian Dunn has reached his 500th combined win at Union. His two softball wins on March 15 marked is 500 and 501 victory as a Lady Bulldog head coach.

In his five season's as head volleyball coach, he has compiled a 171-48 (.780) record. In seven seasons at the helm of softball, Dunn has won 330 games to only 67 losses (.849). Dunn's combined coaching record at Union is 501-115 for an .813 winning percentage.

Over the past seven seasons that he has coached at Union, Dunn has won six TranSouth Championships, four conference tournament championships, three NAIA Region championships, three NAIA World Series appearances, and two NCCAA National Softball Championships.

Brian is a 1989 graduate of San Diego State University, where he helped lead the baseball team to a Western Athletic Conference Championship and a Top 25 national ranking. His coaching career began at Riverside High School in Parsons, Tennessee where he led the Lady Panther softball team to their first ever appearance in the state tournament.

Brian Dunn is married to the former Emily Garrett, a 1986 graduate of Union University. They have two daughters, Addison Grace(5) and Ashlee Claire(3).
