Jackson, Tenn. - 4/21/2003 - The Union University soccer program added their first signee for the fall of 2003. Drew Perry, from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, joins the Bulldogs as a freshman and will play defensive back for Union.
Perry, at 5-foot-10 and 170 lbs., will add bring even more athleticism to an already dangerous Union defense. He played his high school soccer at Murfreesboro-Oakland High School. Perry was Oakland’s MVP, defensive player of the year and the team’s Co-Captain. He was also named the 2002 Daily News Journal Oakland MVP and was a member of the Daily News Journal All-Area Team. His classroom honors are numerous as well with memberships in the Beta Club, Art Honor Society, FCA, and First Priority Victory Club.
While at Union, Perry plans to major in Sports Management and has received academic and leadership scholarships.
