KANSAS CITY, Mo. - 3/24/2011 - The Union (Tenn.) University men’s basketball team had two players recognized by the NAIA with postseason honors. CJ Davis was named honorable mentioned All-American, while Daniel Kelley was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete.
Davis, a 6-foot-1 sophomore guard from Nashville, Tenn. helped Union to a regular season conference co-championship and also a trip to their third straight NAIA National Tournament. Davis averaged 14.6 points per game this season and sank 56 three pointers at a 35 percent clip. Davis was named to the TranSouth All-Conference first team.
Kelley, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard (junior academically) from Nashville played in 16 games for Union, scoring 14 points and pulling down five rebounds.
