JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/29/2011 - The Union (Tenn.) University baseball climbed to No. 7 in the latest NAIA Baseball Polls. Union is 24-6 on the season and a TranSouth best 8-1 on the year.
This is the highest NAIA ranking for Union since the 2002 season when the Bulldogs reached No. 4. Union also reached a No. 4 ranking in 2000. The highest Union baseball has every been ranked in the NAIA was No. 3 back in 1983 when Union finished third in their only NAIA World Series appearance.
Up next for Union will be a conference series at No. 17 Cumberland (Tenn.) University on Friday and Saturday.
