Union men's golf sets record in tournament win

Mt. JULIET, Tenn. - 4/9/2011 - The Union (Tenn.) University men’s golf team won the Cumberland (Tenn.) University Invitational. In doing so, Union set a school record for low round for a team versus par. Union shot an opening round 280, eight under par for a 15 stroke lead. Union finished with a second round 303 and won the event by eight strokes over host Cumberland.

Union’s Brett Barry and Ryan Chandler earned spots on the all-tournament team. Chandler led Union with a 144, Barry posted a 145, Matt Kelley shot 146, Micah Gentle shot 148 and Steven Coffelt shot 151.
