JACKSON, Tenn. - 7/13/2011 - The Union (Tenn.) University men’s basketball team has signed Anthony Freeman of Portland, Ore. For the 2011-12 season. Freeman will enter Union this fall as a junior and will continue his major in sports management with a communication emphasis.
Union head coach David Niven says, “Anthony will be a difference maker for our team this year down low. He plays with great intensity as he runs the floor and rebounds relentlessly. Anthony will be one of the more athletic post players we’ve had here at Union. He has a good feel for how to play and understands his role in the post. I am really looking forward to coaching Anthony the next two years!”
