JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/15/2012 - Brandon Boylan has resigned his position as the head coach of the Union University women’s soccer team. The Union assistant coach for the last six seasons, Isaac Brooks, will take over as the interim head coach for the remainder of the spring semester.
Boylan says, “I am grateful for my nine and half years at Union. The opportunity to serve the Lord at Union was a great experience and I will look back with fondness. I will miss my team and colleagues greatly, but I know God has a plan for mine and my family's life and I look forward to continue to follow God's will.”
Boylan has been the only head coach in Union women’s soccer history. He took over a new program in 2005 in the inaugural season. He completed seven season as the head coach, posting a 70-47-7 (.593). Last season, he led the team to a 12-3-2 record and a TranSouth Regular Season Co-Championship, going 5-0-1 in league play. He posted season highs in wins with 13 in 2007 and 2008. He led his team to six TranSouth Tournaments in seven years, posting a third place finish five times and a runner-up finish one (2011).
In addition to his time spent coaching, Boylan spent almost 10 years at Union, serving in student activities, intramurals, and athletic facilities. Boylan is a 1996 graduate of Union University.
