Christian Brothers added an unearned run in the fifth on a throwing error by Union pitcher John Reed. The Bucs added two more runs in the seventh to take the lead. Reed allowed the bases loaded with no outs when his throw to get the lead runner at third on a bunt sailed wide. Dew entered the game, and gave up a hit and a wild pitched to allow the two runs for the Bucs. Dew then struck out the side.

Union had a runner on base in each the seventh and eighth innings, but did not score. Union went in order in the ninth, with the final out coming on a deep fly out to the warning track by Danny Grimm.

Union had five hits in the game, all coming from five different players. The Bucs where led by Hunter Parham with two hits, the only player on the day with multiple hits.

Miles Anderson (1-2) earned the win, going six innings with two runs on four hits and two strikeouts. Jon-Michael Davis tossed a perfect ninth for his fourth save of the season.

Up next for Union will be a non-conference weekend at home when Indiana-Southeast comes to Fesmire Field for four games, the double-header on Friday starts at 6:00 p.m.
