Union Golf Signee Wins Shiloh Golf Tournament

JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/16/2004 - Brenton Berlin, of Waynesboro, Tennessee, won the Shiloh Golf Tournament with a round of 73. Berlin earns this win as he prepares to play his college golf for the Bulldogs of Union University. He signed with Union back in April of this year.

Berlin is a 2004 graduate of Wayne County High School. While at Wayne County, he was named All-MidState and was 14 in the state tournament last season. Berlin was the 2nd low medalist in the district and region tournaments. He also was a six-time low medalist throughout the season. Berlin’s nine-hole average is just over 36. In addition to his four years of golf at Wayne County, he also played two seasons on his high school’s basketball team.

Don Morris, Union's head golf coach, remains excited about Berlin's future with Union. "He is a very talented player and should be able to help us win as a freshman," states Coach Morris.

Union will start their fall golf season in early September.
