JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/27/2004 - For the second time in three weeks, Union University senior Nicole Garber has been named the TranSouth Conference Setter of the Week. Garber helped lead Union to a 2-0 record for the week with both wins being versus TranSouth Conference foes.
Garber, a 5-foot-7 senior from Columbus, Indiana, was a huge reason the Lady Bulldogs had the victories over TranSouth rivals Martin Methodist College and Cumberland University. For the week Nicole averaged 12.60 assists per game (63 assists in 5 games played) and recorded 7 digs and 4 service aces. Garber leads Union with 313 assists for a 12.5 per game average.
Union is 8-1 on the year and sits atop the TranSouth Volleyball standings with a 3-0 record. Up next for Union will be a home conference match versus Lyon College on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 7:00 pm. Union travels to Lindsey Wilson for a 6:00 pm match on Wednesday night.
