Munford Soccer Standout Signs with Union

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/15/2005 - Kenny Shelton, of Munford, Tennessee, has signed to play his college soccer for the Bulldogs of Union University. Shelton will graduate from Munford High School this coming May and will enter Union this fall, majoring in Youth Ministry.

Shelton, a 5-foot-9 midfielder, has been a two-sport athlete while at Munford High School. In addition to the four years of soccer, he also played one year on the football team as the kicker. As a senior on the football team, he was named All-Region at the kicker position. In soccer, he tallied 27 goals in his four seasons of play, while being the team’s leading scorer this past season.
