Union Women Fall in Overtime in First Home Soccer Match

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/9/2005 - The Union University Lady Bulldog soccer team fell to conference foe Crichton College 1-0 in overtime on Friday night. Union falls to 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in the conference. Crichton improves to 1-1-1 overall and 1-0 in league play.

The game went scoreless until the 92nd minute when Crichton's Renee Blanchard tallied the game winner. Union recorded 10 shots in the game to Crichton's 15 shots.

Union goalie Heather Steele recorded 11 saves in the game to Crichton's 12 saves by Christina Isbell.

Up next for Union will be a home match on Friday, September 16 versus Lambuth University at 3:00 pm.
