JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/13/2005 - The Union University men's golf team led from start to finish as they captured the Union Unversity/Hidden Valley Collegiate Golf Invitational. Union's overall two-day total was 624, 16 shots better that runner-up Martin Methodist College.
In addition to the team title, two Union golfers tabbed the top two spots among individual finishers. Freshman Jake Clay from Texas was the first place medalist with scores of 74 and 77 for a two-day total of 151. Milan, Tennessee native, Cole Floyd finished second with scores of 77 and 75 for a 152 total.
The team standings ending up with Union (624) on top, Martin Methodist (640) in second, Bethel College (650) in third, Belhaven College (694) in fourth, and Martin Methodist JV (735) in fifth place.
