JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/21/2006 - The Union University Bulldog baseball team rallied from a 6-2 and 7-6 deficit in the game to win 8-7 in 11 innings on Tuesday at Fesmire Field. Union improved to 3-5 on the season.

Union trailed 6-2 in the fourth inning but rallied for a run in the bottom of the fourth, two more in the bottom of the sixth, and on in bottom of the sixth to tie the game. Union's Evan Dyer tossed 3.1 innings of one hit ball, not allowing any runs. In the top of the 11th inning, Lindsey Wilson added a run off of Union pitcher James Brasfield (2-0), who allowed just that one run in 4.2 innings of relief to earn the win. Union then scored two runs in the bottom of the 11th when Huntingdon native Andrew Maddox singled to tie the game, followed by a throwing error by Lindsey Wilson's Danny Torres to allow the winning run to cross the plate.

Union will play next on Thursday at 4:00 pm when the Bulldogs host the Eagles of Lambuth University.
