Memphis Player Joins Union Men’s Basketball

JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/14/2006 - Tacuma Alexander, of Memphis, has signed to play his college basketball for the two-time defending TranSouth Champion Union University Bulldogs. Alexander will enter Union this fall as a freshman.

“I really like the atmosphere and teammates at Union,” states Alexander. “I think it is going to be a fun place to play.”

Alexander, a 6-foot-3 170 lb. guard, played his high school basketball at Harding Academy in Memphis. He averaged 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists as a senior. Alexander was named Best of the Preps in Memphis by the Commercial Appeal and was also named All-Region and All-Tournament.

Union head coach Ralph Turner believes, that Alexander’s “best basketball is ahead of him”. Turner adds, “Tacuma brings added athleticism to our guards as a slasher and is a great on-the-ball defender.”
