JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/8/2006 - The Union University Lady Bulldogs lost their first match of the season as Louisiana State University-Shreveport topped Union 2-0. With the loss, Union drops to 3-1 on the season while LSU-Shreveport improves to 1-0.
LSU-Shreveport took a 1-0 first half lead on a goal by Julie Bond in the 12th minute. They added their second goal of the game in the second half take the win.
In an earlier match at Union featuring Crichton College and Loyola University-New Orleans, Loyola defeated Crichton 7-1.
Union will host Loyola-New Orleans on Saturday at 5:00 pm.
