JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/11/2006 - The Union University Lady Bulldogs defeated Reinhardt College (Ga.) 3-0 (30-18, 30-16, 30-21) to remain unbeaten on the season. With the win, Union improved to 7-0 on the season.
Monica Schirmer led Union with 12 kills, while Amanda Hutchison added 10 kills. Hutchison recorded three blocks in the match to lead Union. Elena Villagomez and Edith Mendoza led the way with five aces each. Seniors Purity Ogolla and Kristen Kolter recorded 25 and 15 assists respectively.
Up next for Union will be a battle of unbeaten teams on the road versus Berry College (8-0) in Rome, Georgia on Tuesday.
