Three Lady Bulldogs Earn TranSouth Soccer Post Season Honors

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/27/2006 - Honors and acheivements continue to come in for the Union University Lady Bulldogs after a successfull second season of varsity competition. Caitlin Zimmerman was named a first team All-Conference performer, while Candace Blackard and Chaslie Tharpe were named second team All-Conference performers.

Union is currently 10-6 overall on the season and finished 4-3 in the TranSouth. The Lady Bulldogs finished fourth in the regular season standings and earned the right to host a first round TranSouth Conference Tournament match. In that match last Wednesday, Union topped Trevecca Nazarene University (Tenn.) 5-0. Union now plays the top seed and defending conference, region, and NAIA National Champion Martin Methodist College (Tenn.). This match takes place today at 3:15 pm in Pulaski, Tenn.
