Union Volleyball Adds Outside Hitter for 2007

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/13/2007 - The Union University Lady Bulldog volleyball team landed another California Junior College player when Tiven Catrett signed to complete her college career at Union. Catrett will enter Union this fall as a junior and will be majoring in Athletic Training as she works toward becoming a Physical Therapist.

Catrett, a 5-foot-8 outside hitter from San Jose, Calif., comes to Union from West Valley Community College were she played two seasons of volleyball. As a sophomore at West Valley, she was named first team All-Conference. Catrett also helped lead her Juco team to the Coast Conference South Championship in 2005 and 2006. Catrett prepped at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Calif. There, she played volleyball and basketball. She was earned the Coach's Award and All-Conference in volleyball as a senior.
